PURPOSE and REQUIREMENTS

The Pacific Islander Mixed Plate’s purpose is to:

1. Unite Pacific Islander students on campus and establish a community for support

2. Promote academic excellence by sponsoring study and tutoring groups

3. Learn about and celebrate all Pacific island cultures and share them with campus and community

4. Work together on campus to advance issues important to our Pacific island communities on Hawaii

Member Requirements:

Open to all students

-Every member must be a current student at Leeward Community College.

-Every member must hold a GPA of 2.0 or above.

Every member must follow the Attendance Policy referring based on meetings, gatherings and also Study Group meetings. -Participating in club meetings, activities, events and service learning projects

-Creating a positive academic community on the Leeward campus and in the general community

-Actively participate in fostering social responsibility on the Leeward campus and in the community
